Chris A. Bakare

Mr Chris Kunle Bakare is the Chief Geoscientist/Exploration Manager at FIRST E&P Ltd, an indigenous upstream Oil and Gas company based in Lagos Nigeria. Before this, he had spent over two decades in Shell Exploration in Port Harcourt and the Hague.

Chris graduated in Geology from the Department of Earth Sciences, Ogun State University, OSU (now OOU), in 1987 and had an M.Sc. in Economic Geology from the University of Ibadan in 1990. He started his career as a geotechnical engineer working at Trevi Foundations Ltd and Ove Arup & Partners Nigeria. He is a professional Geoscientist registered with the Council of Mining Engineers and Geoscientists (COMEG) and is a member of NMGS, NAPE, AAPG, and SPE. 

He is the pioneer President of the Olabisi Onabanjo University Faculty of Science Alumni Association (OOUFSAA).
